We have had a busy summer! It seemed to all start off with Aunt Winnie's Funeral and Marshal and I driving up to Boise for that. Right after we got home we flew to California to visit Lillie, Dave, Sam and Baby Ben. We then took two trips to Hurricane...first to visit with Adam and Larae and Matt and Jaymie, and again to wrap up a pig which now sits in our freezer...actually, most of it has been eaten, it sure made some tasty chops! Then we spent a record 6 weekends in a row at our own house ( oh, wait, except for the week that Sheldon was working in San Fransisco, so Marshal and I flew to Boise for the week, it was fun to take walks with Dad everyday, see some old friends and be a part of my parents new empty nester routine) We worked on digging up the yard, reviving the garden, helping the neighbors, subbing in primary and Sheldon spent 5 of our Saturdays working for Far West. At the end of June we drove up to Rexburg where My Dad, Drew and Theresa were visiting with Sean and Spring and Calvin and Meagan. on Saturday Suzy and Daniel met up with us and we all spent the day in Yellowstone. The weather was perfect and it was Beautiful. We found out that only one day at Yellowstone means alot of time in the car...we are ready to plan a real trip there again. The next week I hitched a ride to Boise with my good friend Lily and her 4 little girls, all 3 and under, while Sheldon went to work with Far West in Burley. It was fun to hang out with my Parents again, we went swimming everyday and the days flew by, we were excited to see Sheldon again when he drove to Boise on Thursday. Friday morning we rode with my parents to Klamath Falls, OR for Drew and Theresa's wedding reception. It took us 10 hours, and by the time we left Burns OR, Marshal became sick....we spent about 40 minutes cleaning him up. He didn't want to eat anything until we got into Klamath. We decided to go out to eat when he started looking pretty poor again...sure enough, just as we sat down with our food, he spewed everywhere, he was so sad and sick. We took him back to the hotel and he slept all night, the next day we drove up to Crater lake with Amelia and Paul and the Boys and Lillie and Dave, we met Sean and Spring and Cameron and Lori there. Marshal was definitely him self again, we just took it easy on what he ate and by Sunday, he was perfectly fine and happy. Sunday we went in to Tolee Lake CA where Drew and Theresa'a reception was. We had a lot of fun, I left my Camera in the Car but lillie sent me a few pictures. It was especially fun to be at the hotel with so much of our family, and then to spend the day together at the reception. Corey and Jen were also there, and so were Calvin and Meagan. Sierra definitely stole the show on the dance floor, she cant even help herself, she just dances and dances, kicking her leg here and there, doing the worm thing with her arms and shoulders, a little interpretive dancing and hip hop. When we got back to Boise, Calving and Meagan were also there, and we learned that Landon is also an extreme dancer, but he does actual break dancing, we hops side to side and stalls in the the air. Man, the kids are so cute to watch. Marshal definitely learned to say no after hanging out with all of his cousins....but it's worth it, he is getting so smart.
